Throughout Trump’s presidency, VP Mike Pence has played the innocent card. When it came time for former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn to burn, Mike Pence claimed that he had no clue about Flynn’s connections to foreign governments.
Now, Pence is implicated in the James Comey scandal, according to a new report by The New York Times. The report says that special counsel Robert Mueller has a memo in his possession drafted by Trump and his adviser Stephen Miller.
White House counsel Donald F. McGahn II had objections with the unreleased draft. Via The Times:
McGahn “believed that its angry, meandering tone was problematic, according to interviews with a dozen administration officials and others briefed on the matter. Among Mr. McGahn’s concerns were references to private conversations the president had with Mr. Comey, including times when the F.B.I. director told Mr. Trump he was not under investigation in the F.B.I.’s continuing Russia inquiry.”
How does Pence play into all of this? Read the tweet below:
“Pence was in the Oval for key meetings on May 8 as Trump read his letter draft”
Now, check out these tweets:
“So when Pence went on TV to say Comey was fired because of Rosenstein’s memo, he knew the story wasn’t true.”
